Link Associates changes lives!

Link Associates changes lives—and for more than 70 years, we have had the privilege of being part of the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Since our beginning in 1953, much has changed. Opportunities that once seemed out of reach are now possible because individuals with disabilities, families, advocates and organizations like Link continued to expect more. Today, our work is about much more than providing services. It is about helping people build meaningful lives—lives that include choice, independence, relationships, employment, community involvement and a true sense of belonging.

At Link Associates, we believe every person should have the opportunity to define what a good life means to them. Our role is to listen, provide support, create opportunities and sometimes find a new way forward when the traditional way simply isn't good enough.

I am incredibly proud of the people who make Link what it is. Our employees bring compassion, skill, creativity and commitment to their work every day. Our Board of Directors provides strong leadership and stewardship. Our families, community partners, employers, donors and friends continue to believe in our mission and help us expand what is possible for the people we serve.

While we are proud of our history, we are not an organization that spends much time looking backward. The needs of people change. Communities change. The world around us changes. Link must continue to change as well. We will keep asking questions, trying new approaches and challenging ourselves to provide services that are relevant, responsive and centered on the individual.

Most importantly, we will never lose sight of the tremendous responsibility that comes with being invited into someone's life. The people we serve and their families place their trust in us, and we work every day to earn that trust.
